Simeon “Skip” E. Rich

Simeon “Skip” E. Rich, 75, of Jaffrey and formerly of Peterborough died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Catholic Hospital in Manchester. He passed peacefully after a brief period of declining health.

Simeon was born the son of the late Lydia G. (Paquin) and Simeon A. Rich on October 30, 1940 in Danvers, Massachusetts. He was educated in the Danvers School system. Later in life he completed a Program of Vocational Training at North Reading Rehabilitation Center on May 28, 1958.

He lived in Danvers and attended the First Baptist Church for the better part of his life. In 1991 he moved to Jaffrey, NH. where he attended the Jaffrey Bible Church. He lived for a time at Summerhill Assisted Living in Peterborough. Later he moved to Perfect Peace, a group home in Jaffrey.

He was active in the Monadnock Adult Care Center in Jaffrey where he made many friends. Skip loved his family, church and friends. He was a Red Sox fan, he enjoyed trains and model cars among other things. He was a man of strong faith and prayed continually for people on his heart.

Mr. Rich is survived by his cousins, extended family and numerous friends.

In keeping with Simeon’s wishes there are no calling hours. Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2016 at 11am. in the family lot at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St. Danvers, MA. 01923.
