James L. “Jim” “Jimmy” Schumann II, 62, of Swanzey and formerly of Keene, New Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Cheshire Medical Center after a period of failing health.
He was born in Lima, Ohio to James L. and Wanda Lee (Meyers) Schumann on September 28, 1962. He grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio before moving with his family to Keene.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sherry Schumann; his son, James L. Schumann III (and his partner, Julie Every); his mother, Wanda (Ted) Chabott; his stepdaughters, Amy (Glenn) Wright and Katie (Gabe) Washburn; his siblings and their spouses, Elizabeth (Tod) Silegy; John (Laurie) Schumann and Joseph (Tina) Schumann; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Jim is predeceased by his father, James L. Schumann, and his stepdaughter, Kristal Sergi.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, and stepfather to Sherry, Jimmy, Kristal, Amy, and Katie, and was a great family man, son, brother, and grandfather.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
