Ruth M. (Freeman) Santaw Ulitsky, 74 of Keene and formerly of Alstead died on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the comfort of her home. She passed with her family at her side after a period of declining health.

Ruth was born the daughter of the late Mabel (Rabtoy) and Charles Freeman on October 10, 1940 in Mt. Holly, Vermont. She was educated in Ludlow, VT. and graduated from Black River High School class of 1958.

On April 14, 1960 she exchanged vows with Robert E. Santaw. They were married with family and friends in attendance in Walpole, NH. Sadly, Robert passed on August 18, 2001 after forty one years of marriage. Ruth was fortunate enough to find love once again. On July 21, 2007 she exchanged vows with Gerald (Jerry) M. Ulitsky at the Third Congregational Church in Alstead. They have been married for eight years. Ray was formerly employed by Boston Market’s a cook.

Ruth had worked for Timkin Precision in Keene as an Inspector for over fifteen years. She retired in 2001 to enjoy her golden years with her family.

Time was spent cruising the internet on her computer. She enjoyed baking cakes, camping and making cards on her computer for special events. Ruth was an avid square dancer in her day. Being a member of the Monadnock Squares for many years gave her an outlet to dance and teach. She was also civically minded donating time for the Friendly Meals Organization in Alstead where she would help to cook and serve meals to those in need. She was also a member of 4-H as an instructor.

Ruth is survived by her husband Gerald M. Ulitsky of Keene. Her children; Peggy A. Allen and her husband Peter of Swanzey and Timothy E. Santaw of Fitzwilliam. Her brother, Lawrence Freeman and his wife Shirley of Brandon, VT. Three grandchildren; Ross M. Gould, Allyson Santaw and Renee LeBlanc. She leaves a great grandchild, Holly Robinson and she was expecting to meet the newest member of the family when he is born, Finley Beauvais in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 12 to 2pm. with a celebration of life service to follow at 2pm. all in the funeral chapel. Burial will be private in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery in Alstead. Flowers will gladly be accepted or donations can be made in memory of Ruth M.
