Gary S. Rogers, 63, a life long resident of Keene died unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2016. He passed in the comfort of his home in familiar surroundings.

Gary was born the son of the late Shirley (Willard) and Gerome Rogers on March 2, 1953 in Keene. He was educated in Keene and gradated from Keene High School class of 1971.

He was a businessman and entrepreneur. He owned many businesses over the years, before retiring in 2000.

Gary was also a patriot. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.

For fun Gary liked to fish, cook, travel and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a lover of motorcycles, baseball and football. He was a man who enjoyed being social. You could always find him smiling and laughing with others. Time was spent in various leagues playing baseball and softball. Gary was a long time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Keene.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his children; Michael S. Rogers of Marlborough, Ericka L. Steever of Hinsdale and Chris S. Rogers of Keene. His sister, Vicki Major of Tennessee and brother, Kevin Rogers and his wife Annette of Florida. Five grandchildren; Caleb Steever, Tyler Rogers, Kleay Steever, Caden Steever and Cassidy Rogers. In addition he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gary is predeceased by his brother Michael J. Roger who died in 1963.

Calling hors will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 10 to 11am. in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow with military honors in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Gary S. Rogers to: St. Jude Childrens Hospital for Leukemia Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
