Ina L. (Jones), (Bratcher), McCormick, 92, of Chesterfield and formerly of Keene and Higginsville, Missouri died on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Genesis Care Center in Keene. She passed peacefully with the love of her family at hand after a period of declining health.
Ina was born the daughter of the late Rosa L. (Vanskike) and Howard L. Jones on June 2, 1924 in Shelbina, Missouri. She attended schools in Higginsville.
On September 9, 1979, she exchanged vows with Arthur McCormick. They were married in a simple service in Ocala, Fl. Sadly, Arthur passed in February of 1980 after only five months of marriage. Prior, she was formerly married to and pre-deceased by Harold Kenneth Bratcher for 25 years.
Mrs. McCormick is survived by her two children; Kenneth G. Bratcher and his wife Pam (Benoit) Bratcher of Sanford, ME. and Ronald L. Bratcher and his wife Wanda (Whittle) Bratcher of West Chesterfield, NH. Three grandchildren; Zackary Bratcher of West Chesterfield, Brian Bratcher and Morgan Bratcher both of Sanford, ME. In addition she leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ina is pre-deceased by her siblings; Goldie Kratz and Ella Mae Jones.
She worked as a waitress at Morrison’s Cafeteria in Ocala for about eight years before retiring in 1991.
Ina enjoyed crocheting and knitting, gardening and cooking. She enjoyed baking, making her own clothes. In her younger years, she enjoyed boating and going snow mobiling. She loved traveling the country with her family. Her life was her children and eventually her grandchildren.
