Marcie Jeane (Sweeney) Wells
Marcie Jeane (Sweeney) Wells, 48, a long time resident of Keene, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 15th, 2016 after a sudden illness.
She was born March 2, 1968 in Keene, New Hampshire. Daughter of Jeane (Shaw) and Daniel Sweeney. She was a 1987 graduate of Keene High School.
On February 14th. 1997 she married Michael Wells at the Wright Estates. They were married with close family and friends in attendance. The Wells have been married for nineteen years. Together they brought up three children Michael Snyder Wells, 25, Madison Wells, 19, Meredith Wells, 16, and a granddaughter, Carleigh Snyder Wells, 4.
She created ventures such as Marcie’s Hair Mobile and Sweeney’s Weenies.
Marcie spent days going from home to home styling her elderly ladies hair with love and dedication. Marcie put her heart into each relationship creating endless friendships. She loved to be around people, she greeted all with a smile and her warm loving heart no matter the circumstance. She enjoyed her customers on West Street where the Sweeney’s Weenie Hotdog Truck would be parked daily serving hungry customers with warm conversations and love.
In addition to Marcies business ventures was her dedication and commitment to family. Her children, grandchildren and greater family were the passion of her life. There was nothing she would not do for her family, even if it meant wearing the Keene High School Blackbird Mascot costume to support her children’s athletic endeavors.
Many people will remember Marcie for her humor and laughter. Her good heartedness and kindness was contagious and she was loved even more. Marcie’s humor and love accounted for endless evenings spent at the Wells home.
Marcie loved to make Italian dishes from her family’s native roots: homemade lasagna, alfredo, pizzelles and many other delicious favorites. Her hobbies were sitting out by the pool, cutting hair, being a mom and a mimi, and taking care of everyone.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband Michael Wells. A son, Michael Snyder Wells, Two Daughters Madison Wells and Meredith Wells, and a granddaughter, Carleigh Snyder Wells, all of Keene. Her mother, Jeane Shaw and brother Michael Sweeney of Bradenton, Florida. Her sister, Shashana Newman Dattilo and her husband Jeff Dattilo of New York City. Her aunts, Kathleen Sweeney of Keene, and Sue Bickling of Colorado. Her father in law George Wells and sister in-laws Jennifer Dustin and her husband Todd Dustin and Lexi Wells of Nashua. In addition she leaves cousins, extended family and numerous friends. She is pre-deceased by her father, Daniel Sweeney who passed on July 2, 2013.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5 to 7pm. in the funeral chapel. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10am. in St. Bernards Church, Parrish of the Holy Spirit, 176 Main St. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted.
