Theresa Tammy A. Mahavik
Theresa Tammy A. Mahavik, 54, of Keene died on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene. She passed peacefully after a period of declining health while sleeping.
Tammy was born the daughter of the late Karen B. and Leonard W. Mahavik on February 8, 1962 in Brewster, N.Y. She was educated in Brewster and graduated from Bethel High School, Bethel, Connecticut, class of 1981.
She lived in Tanglewood Park for 20 years before making her home in Surry, NH.
Tammy has worked at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene for 33 years. She worked in the Environmental Services Department until her recent illness.
She lived a simple life. Time was spent working with her CMC family and friends, her extended family. She enjoyed being home with her cat, Tigger.
Miss. Mahavik is survived by her brothers; Kenneth Mahavik and Michael Mahavik both of Wingdale, NY. Her closest friend and big “sista”, Franny Dunton and her husband, Jim of Surry. In addition she leaves cousins, nieces & nephews, extended family, friends & patients of CMC. In keeping with Tammys wishes there are no formal services.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 1:30 to 4:30 in the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in the family lot at, Marlow Village Cemetery in Marlow. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Theresa A. Mahavik to: Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Rd. Swanzey, NH. 03446.
