Betty J. Mummu (Burgess) St. Pierre

Betty J. Mummu (Burgess) St. Pierre, 81, of Keene and formerly of Las Vegas, NV. died on Sunday, February 14, 2016. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home with the love of family near after a period of declining health.

Betty was born the daughter of the late Senja and Arthur Burgess on December 9, 1934 in Keene. She attended schools in Marlborough and graduated from Marlborough High School class of 1953. She then went on in her studies and graduated from Plymouth Teachers College with an Associates of Science in Education.

Betty was a self employed Book Keeper for over forty years. She had accounts with the Italian Club in Keene, Pine Acres Trailer Park and Bear Brook Gardens in Concord to name a few. She retired to enjoy life with her family.

She loved to work and cultivate her flower gardens. Time was spent painting and doing crafts. She enjoyed television and was known for knitting. She loved her summers spent at Silver Lakes and cruising with the family on Carnival Cruise Ships. Those were some of her favorite times for Betty and provided some of her most memorable retirement memories. She loved to soak up the sun, by the lake or out on a ship it didnt matter as long as the sun was shining down on her. Betty was a member of the Keene Italian Club and the Silver Lake Association.

Mrs. St. Pierre is survived by her only son, Scott A. St. Pierre and his wife Thomasina of Keene. Five grandchildren; Andre A. St. Pierre and his wife Holly of Keene, Kristen A. St. Pierre of Vail, CO. Mark M. Conboy of Keene, Joshua T. Conboy of Encino, CA. Kimberly J. Bunker of Sullivan. Great grandchildren; Jacob, Gwen, Collin, Noah, Victoria, Preston and Autumn. In addition she leaves a niece, Tracy Austin and a nephew, Michael Chandler, extended family and friends. Betty is predeceased by her sister Sally Chandler and a nephew Tim Merrill who passed earlier.

In keeping with Bettys wishes there are no formal religious services. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2 to 4pm. in the funeral chapel. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Betty J. St. Pierre to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK. 73123.
