Robert “Buddy” W. Wing, 58, a long-time resident of Troy and formerly of Swanzey, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the comfort of his home.
Robert was born the son of the late Marjorie (LaDue) and Earl Wing Jr. on March 18, 1960 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Hinsdale High School class of 1978.
Buddy was employed by the Poker Room in Keene for ten years before retiring in 2017. He enjoyed his work so he stayed on as a part time and fill in employee.
He enjoyed his passion for playing poker. Time was spent as an avid Boston sports fan watching the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins and especially the Patriots. Buddy was quite the bowler in his day. He was gifted so much that he gained the semi-professional status for many years. He also had a civic side to him. He was an Emergency Medical Technician, I.V. certified. (EMT-I) where he volunteered for Swanzey Rescue and the Volunteer Fire Department in Swanzey for many years.
Mr. Wing is survived by his precious daughter, Brianne S. Wing of Swanzey. His father, Earl Wing Jr. of Hinsdale. Siblings; Debbie Benoit and her husband Marc of Port Orange, FL. Karen E. Hammond and her husband Donald LeBlanc of Pembroke, Raymond Wing and his wife, Melissa of Keene, and Kathy Fisher and her husband Dennis of Keene. In addition, he leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with Buddies wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11am. at Pine Grove Cemetery, Depot St. Hinsdale, NH. 03451. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made to the Buddy Wing memorial fund for Brianne C/O any TD Bank for the future educational expensed for his daughter.
