Michael L. Mecheski 57 a life long resident of Hinsdale died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the comfort of his home.
Michael was born the son of the late Margaret (Momaney) Mecheski and Richard Mecheski on November 17, 1956 in Brattleboro, Vermont. He was educated in Hinsdale and received his General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
Mike worked for many years at the Gatton Weeks Paper Company where he was employed as a machine operator. Mike also worked at the Beaman Lumber, Five Acre Farm and Cersosimo Lumber Company.
Mike was a man of faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially while working in his vegetable and flower gardens. Mike was a great cook and enjoyed sharing his creations with family and friends. He liked to hunt and fish. He was also very mechanically handy with repairing cars. Mike had a big heart and a soft spot for all types of animals. When time permitted he enjoyed vacationing with family at the beach.
Mr. Mecheski is survived by his daughter, Roxanne L. Mecheski of Northfield, MA. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses; Carol Clerc and her husband Bruce of North Adams, MA. Joseph A. Mecheski of Hinsdale, Richard Mecheski and his wife Cathy of Swanzey and John Mecheski and his wife Holly of Windsor. In addition he leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Michael is pre deceased by his son Douglas L. Mecheski who passed on May 24, 1998.
A Mass with Christian Burial Rights will be held on Friday, May 20, 2014 at 10am. in St. Josephs Church, Main St. Hinsdale, NH. 03451. Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Josephs Cemetery, Meeting House Rd. Hinsdale, NH. 03451. There are no calling hours. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Michael L. Mecheski to: Monadnock Humane Society, 100 West Swanzey Rd. Swanzey, NH. 03446.
