Jean Marie (Demarini) Irwin 70 a long time resident of Hinsdale, NH and formerly of Framingham, MA. died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Westwood Care Center in Keene, NH. She passed peacefully after a period of declining health with her family near.
Jean was born the daughter of the late Rita (Long) and Louis Demarini on March 28, 1944 in Framingham, MA. She attended school in Ashland, MA.
She had many jobs over the years. Jean retired from the Brattleboro Retreat as a member of the food service in 2010. Prior she had worked in the family business at L. Demarini, Fruit and Groceries of Framingham.
Jean liked to play cards, work in her flower gardens and was an avid photographer. When time permitted she would take family vacations to Maine and Canada.
Ms. Irwin is survived by her son, Richard L. Irwin and his wife Ana of Jamestown, R.I. and her daughter, Christine I. Dowley and her husband Timothy of Hinsdale. She also leaves her siblings; Louise Ghilani of Hinsdale and Carol Wolfe and her husband Frederick of Hinsdale. Six grandchildren; Anthony, Michael and Daniel Irwin, Megan, Nicholas and Ryan Dowley. In addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.
A Mass will be given on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 11am. in St. Josephs Church, Main St. Hinsdale, NH. 03451. Burial will be private, there are no calling hours. Donations can be made in memory of Jean M. Irwin to: Hospice and Community Services, 312 Marlboro St. Keene, NH. 03431.
