Jeffrey S. Fisher, 59, of Sullivan and formerly of Swanzey, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene.

Jeffrey was born the son of the late Betty Kratzer (Gunerius) and Roy Fisher on April 13, 1957 in Mt. Vernon, Washington. He was educated in Derry and graduated from Derry High School class of 1976.

On September 12, 1991, he exchanged vows with Deborah J. Descoteaux. They were married in a simple service with close family and friends in attendance. They have been married for twenty-five years.

Jeff had worked for Hamshaw Lumber in Keene for eighteen years. He started as a boom truck driver and eventually was the yardman before retiring in 2013. Jeff loved going to work.

He had many interests in life. Time was spent metal detecting, looking for lost treasures. He sold cutlery and ornate knives and swords. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. Jeff was a long-time member of the National Rifle Association. When Jeff was home you could find him sitting with his cat Hollie.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Deborah J. Fisher of Sullivan. His children from a combined marriage; James B. Gero of Troy, Cassie L. Herrick and her husband Ben of Swanzey and Serena N. Miller and her husband Jeff of Greenville, PA. His siblings; Tracy Bennett of Nashua and Zachary Taylor and his wife Maria of Tehachapi, CA. His niece, Shari Bennett and nephew, Andrew Taylor and his wife Hilary. Jeff is also survived by six grandchildren, cousins, extended family and friends.
