Jean L. (Nedeau) Dominic, 70, of Winchester died on Wednesday, June 03, 2015 at Applewood Care Center in Winchester. She passed peacefully while sleeping after a brief period of declining health.

Jean was born the daughter of the late Jeannette (Barron) and late Ernest Nedeau on June 23, 1944 in Laconia, NH. Jean was raised by her mother and stepdad the late Roland W. Racine Sr. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School class of 1962.

On April 20, 1963 she exchanged vows with Francis S. Dominic at St. Stanislaus Church in Winchester. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for fifty two years.

Jean worked for the Barrow’s and Fisher Oil Company in Brattleboro for twenty years as an accounts payable clerk before retiring in 2013. Prior, she had worked at Kulick’s Market, Mt. Pisgah Diner and Smalley’s Store.

Jean was a long time member of St. Stanislaus, Mary Queen of Peace Church in Winchester. She liked to read and crochet. Time was spent on her computer staying in touch with family and friends. Just after Thanksgiving she could be found making pierogies and baking sugar cookies for holiday partiers. One of her favorite holiday events was decorating for Halloween with her sister. She was also a long time member of the Catholic Daughters Society in Hinsdale.

Mrs. Dominic is survived by her husband, Francis S. Dominic of Winchester. Her siblings; Gloria J. Neill and her husband Roy of Belmont, NH. Richard R. Racine and his wife Sandra of Bristol, VT. and Roland W. Racine Jr. of Winchester and a sister in-law Joyce Baker of Manassas VA. In addition she leaves several nieces and nephews, Terri Racine of Long Beach CA, Timothy Racine of Brattleboro VT, William McDonald of Belmont, NH, Traci Anson of East Haddam CT, Michael Racine of Winchester NH, Tina Neill Nalen of Thorton NH, Roland Racine III of Winchester NH, Thomas Baker of Nottingham NH, and April Baker of Manassas VA, several cousins, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews , extended family and many friends. Mrs. Dominick was also predeceased by her niece Tami Jean Racine.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 6 to 8pm. in the funeral home. A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2015 at 11am. at St. Stanislaus, Mary Queen of Peace Church, Richmond Rd. Winchester. Burial will follow in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond Rd. Winchester, NH. 03470. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Jean L.
