Jean G. Pollard, 92, a resident of Keene, New Hampshire for the past year, passed away peacefully and in the comfort of her home on August 14, 2022, with the love of family near after a brief period of declining health.

Jean was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on July 5, 1930, the first of two daughters to the late Albert A. and Dorothy (Wells) Galipault, of Colrain, Massachusetts. She attended grammar school in Colrain, Massachusetts, and graduated from Arms Academy, in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, in 1948. She married the love of her life, Ronald C. Pollard, on June 18, 1954.

During their marriage, Jean and Ron lived in Bennington, Vermont; Brattleboro, Vermont; Rutland, Vermont; Greenfield, Massachusetts; and Keene, New Hampshire. During those years her employment included working for Kendall Mills, in Colrain, Massachusetts; OK Fairbanks and JC Penney, in Brattleboro, Vermont; and New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and The Ginger Tree, in Rutland, Vermont.

Jean enjoyed sewing, reading, puzzles, traveling, dancing, and time spent with family.

Jean is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ronald C. Pollard, of Keene, New Hampshire; her son, Ronald L. Pollard (Dawn), of Keene, New Hampshire; son, Jeffrey A. Pollard (Carol), of Pensacola, Florida; and daughter, Lorijean Baker, of Keene, New Hampshire. She is also survived by grandchildren, Evan Pollard (Emily), Nathan Hoon Pollard, Brittany Robles (Adam), Alyssa Dorman (Justin), Austin Baker, Ethan Baker, and Rory Longe, and great grandchildren, Addyson and Evelyn Pollard, AJ, Ezra, and Noah Robles, Sylvia Dorman, and Caleb Longe, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, and by sister-and-brother-in-law, Joyce and Roger Tower, with whom she was very close

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert A. and Dorothy (Wells) Galipault, her sister and brother-in-law, Bertina and Frederick David Richardson, and a nephew, Dean Richardson.
