Janet L. (Duquette) Young, 65, of Westminster, VT. and formerly of West Swanzey, NH. died on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Thompson House in Brattleboro. She passed peacefully after a courageous battle with breast cancer with her family by her side.
Janet was born the daughter of the late Abbie F. (Lorette) and Robert E. Duquette Sr. on August 10, 1951 in Keene. She was educated in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High school class of 1969.
Janet was committed to her partner of 20+ years, Fran W. Rogenski who she loved very much.
Janet had worked for Bortec Industies in Keene as a machinist for many years before retiring in 2013.
Janet was a very loving, caring person who loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She, most of all, enjoyed family times with her children and grandchildren for whom she lived her life. She enjoyed time with her sister at the ocean every summer and spending time with her brothers and sisters. She also had a great love for her nieces and nephews.
Ms. Young is survived by her children; Philip C. Young Jr. and his wife Melissa. Melanie E. Young and her husband Mike Hagar, Micah J. Young and his wife Leslie and Holly A. Young. Janet’s partner, Fran W. Rogenski. Janet’s siblings; Robert E. Duquette Jr. Sandra J. Foley, Judy L. Duquette, Michael A. Duquette and Nancy F. Davis. Grandchildren; Nora and Lucy Young, Amber, Jenny and Katie Hagar and Cy Young. Her only great-grandchild, Paisley Fiset. Her partner Fran’s children; Kevin F. Rogenski and his family and Stacy A. Johnson and her family. In addition she leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with Janet’s wishes there will be a memorial service but no calling hours at the West Swanzey Community Church 5 Homestead Ave. Swanzey, NH. 03446. at 12 pm. on Saturday October 22, 2016 Donations can be sent in memory of Janet L.
