Franklin (Frank) C. Thompson 76 of West Swanzey died on October 8, 2010 in the comforts of his home with the love and compassion of his family at his side. He had been a resident of Swanzey for the past twenty two years.

Frank was born the son of Irene (Brooks) and George Thompson on February 15, 1934 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1953.

On March 27, 1954 he took his vows to Miss. Corrinne L. (Young) Thompson at the family home in Keene with friends and family in attendance. They had been married for 56 years before she passed on March 15, 2010.

Franklin had been gainfully employed by the Monadnock Regional School System as member of the maintenance department. He had worked in the system for fifteen years before retiring in 1998. Prior to that Frank worked for Chase Tree Service in Keene as a tree climber for 22 years before they closed.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his three children: Debbie Gibson and her husband Joseph of Swanzey, Gary Thompson and his wife Patricia of Gill, MA. James Thompson and his wife Jennifer of Westport. He also leaves his siblings; Mary Sutton of Florida, Eugene Thompson of Keene, Alice Pelletier of AZ. Ann LeClair of VT. and Richard Thompson of VT. Grandpa will be missed by his eleven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Frank is pre-deceased by his parents, his wife Corrinne L. Thompson, two siblings; Agnes Downer and George Thompson Sr.

A grave side service will be held on Wednesday at in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave. In Keene. All are encouraged to attend. There are no calling hours. Flowers would gladly be accepted. However at the request of the family, monetary donations should be made to the Monadnock humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Rd. Swanzey, NH. 03446.
