Carl Arvo Lehto

Carl Arvo Lehto 70 of Troy died on September 24, 2010 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keen after a period of failing health. He passed peacefully with his family at his side.

He was born one of four children to Lillian (Labombard) and Carl Lehto in Troy on July 2, 1940. Carl was educated locally and has been a life long resident of Troy.

On July 10, 1960 he married Miss. Mary J. Karr at the Federated Church in Fitzwilliam. They have been married for 50 years.

Mr. Lehto was gainfully employed by the Troy Mills in Troy for over 30 years. He worked in many positions and retired as a shipping supervisor before retiring in 2000.

Carl enjoyed going to the Hinsdale Race Track making wagers on the dogs and horses. He also liked to go bowling and played baseball and softball.

Mr. Lehto is survived by his wife Mary J. Lehto of Troy. He also leaves three children; Michael C. Lehto and his wife Deborah of Swanzey, Deborah A. Rose and her husband Craig of Swanzey and Marcia L. Lehto and her partner Margaret M. Liberge of Amesbury, Massachusetts. He also leaves his three siblings; Shirley Durham and her husband Leon of Marlborough, Massachusetts, Alan Mattson of Whistler, Canada and Dennis Lehto of Massachusetts. Grandpa will be remembered by his four grandchildren; Katherine Parkhurst, Nathan Lehto, Joshua Grover and William Rose. He also leaves one great grandchild, Alyce Parkhurst. He will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

At Mr. Lehto’s request all services will be private. Donations maybe made in memory of Carl A. Lehto to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St. Alexandria, VA. 22311.
