Dorothy Dot A. Hewett 64, of Keene died on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in the comfort of her home after a period of declining health.
She was born the daughter of the late Sadie (Whorfe) and Kenneth Hewett on August 28, 1948 in Brattleboro, VT. She attended schools in Westmoreland.
Dot worked at the Timken Company in Keene for twenty years before retiring.
For fun Dorothy enjoyed fishing, puzzles and playing games. She was an avid softball player and liked to paint portraits. She was a star wars fan for many years. She enjoyed traveling and loved to reminisce about the trip she and her mother took to Hawaii. Dot was a wonderful caregiver to her mom for thirty years before she passed.
Miss. Hewett is survived by her siblings; Kenneth A. Hewett Jr. and his wife Ann of Marlborough and Robert A. Hewett of Spofford. Dotty also leaves nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre deceased by her brother Donald Hewett who passed in February of 2013.
A graveside service with Christian burial rights will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11am. in the Spofford Village Cemetery, High St. Spofford, NH. 03462.
