Billy W. Robinson
Billy W. Robinson 62 of Marlboro, VT. and formerly of Wilmington , VT. died on Sunday, January 19, 2014. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family at hand after a period of declining health.
Billy was born the son of the late Ruby Bernice (Brown) and Marlin K Robinson in Whitingham, Vt. and left after the 10th. grade to live in New Mexico with his maternal grandparents.
On April 28, 2006 he exchanged vows with Dawn M. Santor in a simple service on the town common in Brattleboro, VT. They have been married for almost eight years. He was formerly married to Deborah Scott Tortorella of West Chesterfield, N.H.
Billy worked for Webster Trucking in Brattleboro VT. for Thirty Six years and was well known by everyone. He retired in July, 2013 to enjoy time with his wife and family.
Billy enjoyed many things in life. He loved to go hunting and fishing. His favorite time was bear season. Billy was most at home in the outdoors being with nature. He also enjoyed watching Football, Basketball, Baseball and NASCAR. Time was spent reading or riding his Harley Davidson. He also liked to spend time at his camp in Indian Lake NY.
Billy had a humorous side to him, He enjoyed making people laugh and was known for his great stories. Billy enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, He had a place in his heart for every one and he especially loved kids. He lived his life helping others and was always there with an open ear and ready to give advice.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife Dawn M. Robinson of Marlboro, VT. He also leaves his children and their spouses/significant others; Douglas J. Dix and his wife Laurie of Whitingham , VT. Jacob C. Robinson of Wilmington, VT Luke B. Robinson of Wilmington, VT Ashley M. McGirr and her husband Michael of Hinsdale, NH. and Megan E. Santor and her significant other Timothy R. LaFlam of Hinsdale, NH. His siblings; Jim Robinson and his wife Lynne of Dexter, N.Y. Linda Jones of Guilford, VT. Sally Packard and her husband Douglas of Guilford, VT. June Buckley and her significant other Jim Ure of Hudson Falls, N.Y. and Charley Robinson and his wife Amy of E. Falmouth, MA. His brother in-law Gary Shepard of Vernon, VT. In addition he leaves eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Billy is pre deceased by his sister Marline Shepard and brother in-law Russell Jones.
In keeping with Billys wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held on, Sunday January 26th. 2014 from 12:00 to 4:00pm. in the East Dover Town Hall, 189 Taft Brooke Rd. East Dover, VT. 05341.
