Carol A. (Collins) Ross 61, of Spofford and formerly of Keene died peacefully while sleeping on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the comfort of her home.

She was born the daughter of the late Dorothy (Payette) and John Collins on September 12, 1951 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Carol was educated in the Lynn school system and graduated from Lynn High School class of 1969. She then continued on with her studies receiving an Associates Degree.

On June 7, 1975 she exchanged vows with Lee J. Ross at the Community Bible Chapel in Brattleboro. They were married with family and friends in attendance. The Ross have been married for thirty eight years.

Carol has been employed by the Town of Chesterfield for the past thirteen years. She has held the position as the Selectman Secretary and other roles for the town. She will be missed by her colleagues and the people of Chesterfield.

Carol was a Born Again Christian and loved Christ with all her heart. She attended services at the Grace Community Evangelical Free Church in Spofford. In the summertime, you could find Carol on her boat cruising Spofford Lake. She loved to vacation with her daughters. They would go to the beach and go on cruises. She loved to serve the people of Chesterfield. She was a people person and had a servant’s heart.

Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband Lee J. Ross of Spofford. She also leaves her daughters: Kathryn Ross of Parsippany, N.J. Julie Ryan and her husband Daniel of Gainsville, FL. and Christine Ross of Jersey City , N.J. in addition to extended family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all and her family takes comfort that she is with her Redeemer in Paradise.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 10am. in the Grace Community Evangelical Free Church, 49 Old Swanzey Rd. Spofford, NH. 03462. Burial will be private. Flowers will gladly be accepted and should be sent to the funeral chapel. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Carol A. Ross to the Salvation Army of Keene, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene , NH . 03431.
