Robert (Bob) H. Henry III
Robert (Bob) H. Henry III, 72 of Swanzey, NH. died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
He was born the son of Pauline E. (Wheeler) and Robert H. Henry Jr. on March 26, 1940 in Keene, NH. Bob was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1958. After high school he served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. Bob graduated from Northeastern University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
On July 18, 1970 Bob exchanged his vows with Glenora (Glennie) T.Zofrea at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. They have been married for forty one years.
He worked in many roles over the years. He was employed by Linehan and Associates in Boston, MA. He later owned Rivers and Henry Heating and Plumbing in Keene and later, R. H. Henry Consulting Service. Bob also worked with South Western Community Services as an auditor.
Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Glennie Henry of Swanzey. His children and their spouses; Garrett C. Henry and his wife Joyce of Franklin, NH. Cortney R. Vachon and her husband Christopher of Stoddard, NH. He also leaves three brothers; Peter Henry and his wife Marlene of Marlborough, NH. Jon Henry and his wife Martha of Swanzey, NH. and Gary Henry of Sarasota, Florida. Bob has two grandchildren; Ethan and Reese Henry of Franklin, NH. nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service with military honors will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1pm. at Cheshire Family Funeral Home, 46 South Winchester St. West Swanzey, NH. 03446. The family will greet guests at 12:30pm. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers or contributions the family has requested that you do something special for a loved one.
