Doris L. Magee
Doris L. Magee 81 a life long resident of Winchester died on Wednesday, March 12, 2013 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene. She passed after a brief period of declining health.
Doris was born the daughter of the late Velda (Thompson) and Henry Magee on January 19, 1932 in Winchester. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School class of 1950.
Doris was employed by the Quebbocor Company in Brattleboro as a binder for forty years before retiring in 1998. Prior she had worked as a secretary at National Grange in Keene.
Doris never married but was well loved by her family and became the favorite aunt. She could be found carting her nieces and nephews to various events. She was a very kind hearted soul who was giving of her time. In her free time she enjoyed watching television and going to family reunions and gatherings. Doris was also a tennis player in her younger years.
Miss. Magee is survived by her siblings; Brother, Thomas J. Magee of Winchester, Sister, Bernice M. Magee of Manchester, Massachusetts. In addition she is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She is pre deceased by her brother Joseph G. Magee who passed in 1996.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 4 to 6pm. in the funeral home. A mass will be given on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10am. at Mary Queen of Peace / St. Stanislaus Church, Richmond Rd. Winchester. Burial will take place in the spring. Flowers will gladly be accepted.
