Cecile M. Sloan 98 of Delray Beach, Florida died on June 23, 2011 in Boynton Beach, Florida.

She was born the daughter of Josephine (Casper) and John Pilgrim on July 29, 1912 in Stacy, Minnesota. As a child her family moved to Winchester where she spent most of her life. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School, class of 1920. In 2000 she moved to Delray Beach to be closer to family.

She worked for many years at Multistone Ingraving as an artist. Cecile retired in 1982.

Mrs. Sloan is survived by her son, James W. Sloan and his wife Karen of Delray Beach, FL.

A daughter in-law Beryle Sloan of Elmwood Park, N.J.. Her grandchildren; Susan Hrenenko and her husband Barry of Bergenfield, N.J., James E. Sloan and his wife Tammy of Hewitt, N.J., Jennifer Smits and her husband Jim of Oakland, N.J., Cynthia Zarro and her husband Tony of Oakridge, N.J. Her great grandchildren; Logan and Ryan Hrenenko, James and Jacquline Sloan, David-Mathew and Kristen Smits. A niece, Barbara Welch and cousins Eldoris OConnor, Richard Sederstrom and Shelly Secor. Cecile is pre-deceased by her son David Sloan and brother Chet Pilgrim.

A mass with Christian Burial Rights will be given on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11am. at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Stanislaus Church, Richmond Rd. Rt. 119 South in Winchester. Burial will follow in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester. There are no calling hours.
