Bernice M. (Parker) Fifield, 85, a long-time resident of Spofford, died Monday, March 16, 2020. She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.
Bernice was born the daughter of the late Grace (Stone) and Almond Parker on November 16, 1934 in Marlborough, N.H. She attended school locally in Marlborough.
She was employed by Douglas Toy Co. where she worked as a seamstress for ten years before retiring in 1998.
She enjoyed; knitting, crocheting, gardening, playing bingo, baking, playing cards, her pets-especially Molly and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fifield is survived by her children; Debra J. Bordner and her husband, Stephen of Hinsdale, James K. Parker of Island Pond, VT. and Harold W. Parker Sr. of N.Y. Her grandchildren that she raised as her own children; Heather M. Parrot and her husband, Rodney of Spofford; Jesse W. Parker and his wife, Hazel of Dublin; Bobby J Parker and Harold W. Parker, Jr. She is survived by twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. In addition, she leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband, William Fifield. She is also pre-deceased by her siblings; Marion Fifield, Frank Parker, Harold Parker, Herbert Parker and Wendell Parker.
In keeping with Bernice’s wishes, there are no calling hours. A private burial will take place in the spring at Friedsham Cemetery in Chesterfield. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Bernice M. Fifield to:
