Amos “Pete” M. Supernois, 75, a long time resident of Winchester and formerly of Charlestown died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Applewood Care Center in Winchester. He passed peacefully while at rest after a period of declining health.
Amos was born the son of the late Grace (Gennone) and Amos Supernois on May 6, 1939 in Salisbury, VT. He was educated in Middlebury and graduated from Middlebury High School class of 1956.
On November 2, 1963 he exchanged vows with Linda L. Brown. They were married in a simple service with close family and friends in attendance. The Supernois’ have been married for fifty years.
Pete worked for General Electric in Bridgeport, Ct. He worked as a Wire and Cable Inspector for twenty years before retiring in 1982.
He enjoyed many things in life. Time was spent with nature hunting and fishing. He was a baseball coach for little league and adult leagues. When he wasn’t coaching Pete could be found on the diamond playing for fun. Pete had a soft spot for animals. He loved them all.
Mr. Supernois is survived by his wife, Linda L. Supernois of Winchester. He also leaves his four children and their spouses; William J. Supernois of Ascutney, VT. Scott A. Supernois and his wife Mindy of Walpole, NH. Sheryl L. Short of Winchester and Thomas A. Supernois of Springfield, VT. Ten grandchildren; Todd and Alexander Supernois, Dustin Supernois, Lynnette and Justin Fuller, James and Brandon Short, Ashley, Alec and Autumn Supernois, eleven great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Pete is predeceased by his sister, Thelma DeBouter who passed earlier.
In keeping with Pete’s wishes a graveside service will be held in the spring. There are no calling hours. Donations can be made in memory of Amos M.
