Michael “Mike” W. Miner, 53, of Ashuelot and a former long-time resident of Winchester died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene.

Michael was born the son of the late Eleanor J. (Beaman) and Arthur L. Miner on November 18, 1965 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School class of 1984.

On September 28, 2002 he exchanged vows with Karey L. West at the United Church of Christ in Keene. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for sixteen years.

Mike worked as a Union Laborer for the J.H. Lynch Construction Co. based in Millbury, Massachusetts for the past three years. Prior, he had worked at Cersosimo Lumber Co. in Vernon, Vt. as a Mill Supervisor for thirteen years.

He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and tinkering on small engines. He like to buy, repair and resell small engines and equipment as a hobby. Mike was a kindhearted soul who would always help his family and friends with various projects and needs. He was a loving and devoted; husband, father, son, brother, uncle and nephew. Time was always made available to attend his children’s sporting and school events.

Mr. Miner is survived by his wife, Karey L. Miner of Ashuelot. His children, Keegan Duhaime and Maddison E. Miner of Ashuelot. His father, Arthur L. Miner and his wife Rita of Winchester. His siblings; John L. Miner and his wife, Kim of Ashuelot and Ronald S. Miner and his wife, Michelle of Winchester. Mike also leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Gregg E. Miner who passed in 2015 and his mother, Eleanor J. Minor who passed in 2011.

In keeping with Mike’s values there are no formal religious services. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5 to 8pm. in the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the Spring of 2019 in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, NH. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Michael W. Miner to: Any TD Bank under the accounted listed as Maddison Miner College Fund.
