Matthew James, “Matt” Wing, 23, of Hollis, NH. died unexpectedly early Friday morning, December 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Nashua of injuries he sustained from a motor vehicle accident on Proctor Hill Road in Hollis while on his way home.

Matthew was born in Keene on September 3, 1995, the son of James and Jane (Stowell) Wing. He was raised and educated in Gilsum where he participated in the First Lego League and achieved a black belt in karate by age 10. Coming into his Senior year of high school, Matthew attended the Advanced Studies Summer Program at Saint Paul’s Academy in Concord. Matt graduated with high honors from Hollis-Brookline High School in Hollis. He later attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.

He had been employed as an electrical assembly specialist working for BAE Systems, a defense aerospace company located in Hudson. Previously Matthew worked as a sales associate at Home Depot in Nashua.

An accomplished guitarist and gifted vocalist, he loved music and sharing his talent. He was an avid reader, enjoyed trying new foods, and was considered a lover of exotic dishes. Of his other pastimes and interests he loved paintball, downhill skiing and spending time with his family and friends. Matthew was known for his spirit of friendship and generosity, always willing to help anyone in need.

Besides his parents of Hollis and Gilsum, he leaves one brother, Eric Wing and his brother’s girlfriend Samantha of Gilsum, paternal grandmother Doris Wing of Gilsum, several aunts and uncles that include, Ronald and Marilyn Stowell of Barrington, Thelma Stowell of West Swanzey, Gerald Wing of Brandon, Florida. Additionally, he is survived by many cousins and a large host of friends. Matthew was predeceased by a sister, Katie Virginia Wing and his maternal grandmother, Sally Stowell.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00am. until the start of the memorial services at 12 noon in the funeral chapel.
