Barabara J. (Dubriske) Porter, 67, a long-time resident of Winchester died on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Applewood Care Center in Winchester.
Barbara was born the daughter of the late Martha (Stancliff) and Francis Dubriske on December 21, 1951 in Keene. She was educated locally and graduated from Thayer High School class of 1970.
On August 1, 1970 she exchanged vows with Henry S. Porter at St. Michael’s Church in Ashuelot. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for forty-nine years.
She worked at Plumb Pack in Winchester in various positions over her career of fifteen years. Barbara retired in July of 2018.
Barbara enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Time would be spent going on country rides. When the fall would come around, she was always up for going to the Eastern States Exposition (Big E) She enjoyed being with family and her close friends.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband, Henry S. Porter of Winchester. A son, Jason H. Porter of Winchester. Her siblings; Frances Whipple and her husband, Charles of Guilford, VT. Christine Coty of Ashuelot, Mary Mallory and her, husband Norman of Vernon, VT. and Felicia Dubriske of Ashuelot. In addition, she leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her sister Rose Saczawa passed earlier.
In keeping with Barbara’s wishes all services will be private. Burial will occur later in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester. Donations can be made in memory of Barbara J. Porter to:
