Madeleine R. (Labrecque) Cote
Madeleine R. (Labrecque) Cote, 76, of Keene and formerly of Swanzey died on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland. She passed peacefully after a period of declining health with her family near.
She was born the daughter of the late Marie Rose (Carrier) and Alexandre Labrecque on April 23, 1939 in Quebec, Lacmegantic, Canada. She attended schools in Canada.
Madeleine worked at Smith Medical in Keene as an assembler for over twenty years before retiring in 2008.
She was a woman of faith and attended St. Bernards, Parish of the Holy Spirit in Keene. She enjoyed sewing and working with crafts. Madeleine was a loving and devoted mother to her children and eventually her grandchildren. She was a great friend and neighbor always helping others whenever needed.
Ms. Cote is survived by her children; Nancy M. Bottom and her husband Douglas of Keene. Diane M. Schillinger and her husband Todd of West Swanzey. Her three grandchildren; Ashley Bottom, Christopher Bottom and Jacob Schillinger. Madeleines siblings; Pierre and his wife Lucia, Marcel and his wife Rita, Henri and his wife Sylvie, Lise and her husband Marc and a sister in-law Carmen. In addition she leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Madeleine is pre-deceased by her siblings; Therese, Antonio, Sebastian and Marguerite.
In keeping with Madeleines wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside service with Christian Burial Rights will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10am. in the family lot at Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Madeleine R. Cote to: ALS Foundation 10 Ferry St. Ste. 309 Concord, NH. 03301.
