David A. Waris Jr.

David A. Waris Jr. 53, of Fitzwilliam and formerly of Feeding Hills, MA and Naperville, IL, passed away quietly on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief period of declining health.

He was born the son of Carol F. (Gross) and David A. Waris Sr. on September 14, 1968 in Groton, MA. He was educated locally at Milford Sr. High School, class of 1986. David went on to paramedic school at Southern New Hampshire Hospital in Nashua.

On June 4, 1994, David exchanged vows with the love of his life, Tracie M. Hutchinson at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Nashua. They have been happily married for the past twenty-eight years.

During his years of working, David worked for Pioneer Valley Ambulance Company in Northampton, MA, as a paramedic and had done that for the past eight years. He was named Paramedic of the Year 2021. He also worked for Catalodo Ambulance Service as a paramedic for 5 years, along with working for various other ambulance services for the last 30 years.

David had many different interests like collecting antiques, fishing, woodworking, and cooking with the Dutch oven. Some organizations he was very involved with were Latter-Day Saints in Keene, Scout Master and Den Leader BSA in Claremont, NH.

Mr. Waris is survived by his parents, Carol and David Sr. of Amherst, his wife Tracie Waris, Fitzwilliam, his three children, Allison D. Waris, Zachary R. Waris, and Abigail F. Waris all of Fitzwilliam. He is also survived by his two siblings Kathy Hughes and husband Donn of Naperville, IL, Dan and wife Barbara of Milford, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Services will be held at the Latter-Day Saints Church, 584 West St. Ludlow, MA on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 am.
