He was raised in Winchester and graduated from Thayer High School in 1962 where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and soccer. As an adult, Moe gave back to the Winchester youth coaching Pee-wee league baseball and youth basketball. Together with his friend Eddie Ford, he conducted many youth basketball events. He was a regular at many Thayer High School sporting events. He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan and was also a past season ticket holder for U-Mass basketball.

In 1974 he came to know the Lord as his Savior and continued to grow in his faith as a member of Northfield Baptist Church in Northfield, MA where he remained a member until his passing. He was passionate about sharing Christ with his family, friends, and others with whom he crossed paths.

The family was very important to him. Holidays would find him spending time with his family and sharing many stories from the good old days and family memories. He especially loved time spent with his grandchildren.

Moe was a cement finisher by trade and was the owner and sole proprietor of Secord Concrete; he took pride in the work he did in the tri-state area and enjoyed sharing work stories with many throughout the community. Through his business, he was able to create many lasting friendships.
