Wayne A. Daniel

Wayne A. Daniel, a long-time resident of Swanzey died on Monday, September 25, 2017, after a brief period of failing health.

He was born the son of the late Stefania (Budzik) and Albert A. Daniel on May 7, 1954 in Keene. He graduated from Monadnock Regional High School class of 1972, and attended Keene State College.

On October 11, 1986, he exchanged vows with Sandra M. Buffum at the United Church of Christ in Keene. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for 31 years.

For the past 16 years, Wayne worked for Ingram Construction Company in Swanzey as a Project Superintendent; which he considered the job of his dreams. Earlier in his career he worked at Frazier’s Furniture and this is where he realized his love of woodcraft. Wayne was an artisan and builder of quality cabinets and finish work.

He was a kind and soft-spoken man in all aspects of his life and it was only natural that he found mentoring young people most rewarding. Wayne was a foster parent for children in the Monadnock Region for over seventeen years.

He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and softball in the local area. He was the first basketball player at Monadnock Regional High School to score 1,000 points before the 3-point field goal was introduced.

He enjoyed spending time at the youth sports with his son Carter and helping wherever needed. Wayne also enjoyed family vacations and road trips; especially trips to Disney.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife Sandra Daniel of Swanzey, his children; Derek Z. LaBounty and his wife Corianne of Maynard, MA, and their three children; Sophia, Zane and Lola. Carter I. Daniel of Swanzey, sisters; Charlene Lazzaro of Gilsum and Linda Daniel of Swanzey. Lacy L. Hudson of Bennington, VT who was like a daughter to him, Aunts; Evelyn Aveline of Keene and Mary Francoeur of Enfield, CT. In addition, he leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel and Crematories, 44 Maple Ave. Keene, NH. 03431. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 6 to 8PM. A celebration of life service will occur on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11AM, all in the funeral chapel. Flowers will be gladly accepted.
