Warren W. Loock, 72, of Swanzey and formerly of Massachusetts and New Jersey died on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in the comfort of his home while sleeping.
Warren was born the son of the late Jean (Bessler) and George Loock on September 30, 1944 in New York City, N.Y. He was educated in Oradell, N.J. and graduated from Riverdale High School class of 1961. Warren went on in his education graduating with a Bachelors Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J. class of 1965.
On September 1, 1973 he exchanged vows with Lynne E. Zauner at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in New Milford, N.J. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for forty-three years.
Warren worked part time during retirement for the Town of Swanzey as Deputy Tax Collector for four years. He worked for Sams Outdoor Outfitters for six years as a sales associate before retiring in 2006. Prior he had worked at Peerless Insurance in Keene, NH in the Bond Department for 10 years, Hanover Insurance in Worcester, MA. and the Home Insurance Company in East Orange, N.J.
Warren was a loving father and husband and took great pride in providing for his family. He loved being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed many things in life. Warren learned to play the guitar at a young age and loved the music of Les Paul and John Denver. His leisure time was spent boating and expanding his Lionel Train collection. He also enjoyed target shooting as well as flower gardening. A very social person, he enjoyed meeting people and talking with them.
Mr. Loock is survived by his wife, Lynne E. Loock of Swanzey. His children; Robyn F. Loock of Keene, Christa J. Austin and her husband Allen of Richmond and David S. Loock and his wife Tracie of Fitzwilliam. His sister, Nancy Loock. Warren is also survived by five grandchildren, cousins, extended family and friends.
