Timothy (Eeyore) H. Labelle
Timothy (Eeyore) H. Labelle, 68, of Swanzey and formerly of Keene died on Saturday, September 19, 2015. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home while sleeping.
Tim was born the son of the late Elaine (Stafford) and Harold Labelle on February 2, 1947 in Hanover. He was educated in White River Junction, VT. and graduated from Hartford High School class of 1965.
On July 15, 1978 he exchanged vows with Janet M. Thurston in Weathersfield, VT. They were married with close family and friends in attendance and have been together for thirty seven years.
Tim was a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard, BH. and 4HS. C/2/197th. Artillery in Lebanon. He was the recipient of the Sharp Shooters, Marksman Badges and the National Guard Service Bar. Tim was released from service at the rank of Sp-E4 with an honorable discharge after six years of service.
He had worked for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon at an Optician. He later transferred to Cheshire Medical Center in the same role before retiring in 2012. Prior he had worked at Bausch and Lamb and Ronald Hill Opticians in a similar role.
Tim enjoyed many things in life. He liked to hike, bike, hunt, trap shoot and was an archer. Time was spent working on his skills as a photographer and he enjoyed going to the ocean with the family. He also had a unique sense of humor. Tim always said Todays the day Meaning, it was a good day to die. Tim was civically minded and was a Boy Scout leader in Winchester for many years.
Mr. Labelle is survived by his wife Janet M. Labelle of Keene. His children; Christine Wheeler and her husband Terry of Wells River, VT. Carolene Babcock of Dover, Michael Porter of Keene and Jeffrey Porter of Keene. His brother, Tom Labelle. A nephew, Ely Labelle. In addition he leaves seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild cousins, extended family and friends.
