Thurley Janice (Ware) Ryll, 90, a long time resident of Winchester, died peacefully on June 14, 2014 in the comfort of her home with her family present.

She was born the only daughter of the late Susan (Fosdick) and Austin J. Ware on July 9, 1923 in Avon, Massachusetts. Her family moved to Winchester when she was ten years old, where she completed her education, graduating from Thayer High School in 1941.

On September 1, 1941 she married Edmund Ryll in Peterborough. Together they raised their family with love and humor. The Rylls enjoyed sixty years together until his passing on November 8, 2001.

Thurley was employed for many years at the Granite State Toy Company, New England Box Company, Kulicks Market and Jennings Insurance Agency.

Thurley devoted her life to her family. She encouraged her children to actively participate in school, church and community affairs. She was an RSVP volunteer knitter and provided countless hats and robes for those in need. Thurley belonged to a sewing club that began when her children were small and she continued to meet with the group until last year. Its members remained her closest friends. Her family considers her afghans to be family treasures. She cherished her home and had a keen eye for color and design. Thurley belonged to the Red Hat Society, the United Church of Winchester and the Ladies Society of the United Church of Winchester in addition to the Order of the Eastern Star. She was well known and thought of fondly by people of all ages.

Mrs. Ryll is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Gloria Dintino and her husband Bob of Bow, Marcia Ammann and her husband Jim of Winchester and Pamela Bruder and her husband Bryan of Stoddard. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Darren Dintino, Diane Dintino Rutherford, Jason and Eric Ammann, Marcie and Allyson Bruder, and Skylar Ryll; great grandchildren Sam Dintino, Matthew and Madelyn Ammann, Savanah and Hope Rutherford. In addition to great-great grandchildren, she leaves sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including her devoted caregiver, Lynn Gurney. Thurley is pre-deceased by her only son, Edmund W. (Ted) Ryll, who passed on January 21, 2014. Her brother, Herbert F. Ware, died earlier.

In keeping with Thurleys wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside service will held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10am. in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond Rd. Winchester, NH. 03470. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Thurley J. Ryll to: Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Rd.
