Theron “Terry” J. Lawrence, 73, a life time resident of Winchester died on Friday, January 20, 2017. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home with loved ones at his side.

Theron was born the son of the late Pearl W. (Read) and Charles H. Lawrence on September 21, 1943 in Keene. He graduated class of 1961 from Thayer High School, Winchester.

He was employed as a tractor trailer driver for Elm City Oil in Keene from 1965 to 1976 and then Yellow Freight Systems for twenty-three years before retiring in 1999.

In 1991 he exchanged vows with Lorraine E. Stancliff at the Westport Village Church in Swanzey. They were married with close family and friends in attendance and have been married for twenty-five years.

In his free time, he enjoyed his cottage and boat on Lake Winnipesauke and later his home in Florida. Cutting wood and maintaining fields and grounds around his homestead in Winchester. His passion was always driving and he enjoyed moving vehicles for Roundtree Ford during his retirement.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lorraine E. Lawrence of Winchester. His children; Jeffrey A. Lawrence and his wife Kathi, Eric J. Lawrence and his wife Anita, Teresa L. Leavitt and partner Ralph Roy all of Winchester. Step children; Brian Sanderson and his wife Debbie of New York, Gary Sanderson and his partner Wendy Brezy Brown of West Swanzey and Danny Sanderson and his wife Danielle of Keene. His siblings; Raymond C. Lawrence of Winchester, Betty Lincoln of Keene and Leonard W. Lawrence and his wife Gail of Winchester. Six grandchildren; Danielle Lawrence, Krista Lawrence, Jenna Lawrence, Stacey Lawrence, Meaghan Sanderson and Lauren Sanderson. Two great grand-children; Sophia Leavitt and Kenna Leavitt. In addition he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Theron is pre-deceased by his siblings; Edith Wood and Arthur Timer Lawrence and his grandson Theron Leavitt who passed in 2012.

In keeping with Therons wishes there are no formal services or calling hours. A gathering to celebrate Therons life will be held in the spring.
