Suzanne “Sue” E. Rogers, 74, of Deerfield and formerly of Montague and Greenfield died on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home after a valiant struggle with Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy.

Suzanne was born the daughter of the late Gertrude (Ackerman) and Francis Rogers on January 11, 1944 in Greenfield. She was educated locally and graduated from Greenfield High School class of 1962. Sue went on in her education graduating from the Medical Technician Program at the Farren Hospital in Montague class of 1964.

In 1994 she met the love of her life and on July 30, 2006 she exchanged vows with Catherine “Cathy” Randall to become her wife at the Log Cabin in Holyoke. They were married with family and friends in attendance and have been married for twelve years.

Sue was employed as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She worked as the Chemistry Supervisor in the Department of Laboratory Science at the Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield for forty-four years before retiring in 2006 at the age of 62.

She enjoyed; working in her flower gardens, watching and feeding the birds, playing tennis and bad midden, frisbee, swimming, snowshoeing, working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles, travel. When time permitted you could find Sue crocheting and knitting. Sue had a softer side for animals. Especially her beloved Miniature Schnauzers, Oliver, Zachary and Sedona.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her wife, Catherine Randall of Deerfield. Her children; Kevin J. Shippee of Turners Falls, Kristen D. Shippee and her partner, Dan Christianson of Greenfield and Scott Shippee of Turners Falls. Her siblings; Robert F. Rogers and his wife Patricia of Sandwich, MA. Mary A. Kimplin of NH. and John Rogers and his wife Lynn of Winchester, NH. Grandchildren; Sarah Christianson, Katie Lavin, Kyle Christianson. In addition, she leaves; cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sue is pre-deceased by her brother, Stephen Rogers who passed in 2008.
