Susan (Sue) F. (Farman) Ayotte

Susan (Sue) F. (Farman) Ayotte 57 of West Swanzey died with dignity in the comfort of her home with the love and compassion of her family by her side on Saturday. She passed peacefully after a period of failing health.

Sue was born the daughter of Pearl (Stevens) and Miller Farman on December 17, 1953 in Springfield, VT. She was educated locally in the Monadnock Regional Schools and complected her final year of High School at Pequannock Township High School in Pompton Plains, N.J. class of 1965.

Miss. Farman took her vows to Mr. Gordon O. Ayotte on October 6, 1972 at the Swanzey Community Church with family and friends in attendance. They have been happily married for almost 39 years.

Mrs. Farman has been employed by Cheshire Medical Center Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene Hospital for 34 years in various roles. She worked in the Department of Gastroenterology as the endoscopic scheduler.

Sue was a woman of great faith and long time member of the Grace Community Evangelical Church in Spofford. She was active on many committees and a member of the choir. She also assumed various roles on worship teams for yearly womens retreats. Her vocals could be heard singing in the choir and she accompanied the choir with her guitar. In her free time she enjoyed painting portraits and writing poetry. Sue was a people person and enjoyed getting together with friends and family to sing and play her guitar. Her love for life and family was guided into researching her family genealogy. She would spend hours researching and documenting the past.

Mrs. Ayotte is survived by her husband Gordon O. Ayotte of West Swanzey. She also leaves her daughter, Lena E. Ayotte of West Swanzey. Her siblings; Nancy Zimmerman of Keene, Joyce Farman and her husband Richard Vogelson of London, England., Cindy Sanchez of Lebanon, Steve Farman and his wife Cathy of Swanton, VT., her special nephew Ron Ayotte Jr. of Swanzey. Her presence will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and numerous friends. Sue is pre-deceased by both her parents.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 15th. from 6 to 8pm. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 16th. At 10am. all in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family lot at Oak Hill Cemetery in West Swanzey. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, Donations should be made in memory of Susan F. Ayotte to Hospice and Community Services, 312 Marlboro St. Keene, NH. 03431 or to the Kingsbury Cancer Center 590 Court St. Keene, NH. 03431.
