Stanley “Stan” A. Richmond, 61, of Spofford died on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He passed unexpectedly in the comfort of his home.

Stanley was born the son of Arlene (Buckley) and Stanley A. Richmond on November 26, 1952 in Keene. He was educated locally and graduated from Keene High School class of 1971.

Soon after high school Stan enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He completed his enlistment and was honorably discharged.

Stan was currently working for Marcus Lovell-Smith at Boggy Meadow Farm in Walpole where he was the head cheese maker. Stan had been with Boggy Meadow Farms for the past eighteen years.

He had many interests in life. Stan loved raising and riding horses. He could be found working in his flower and vegetable gardens. He also liked to go kayaking on the local ponds and rivers. Stan’s farm included peacocks, rabbits, chickens and of late miniature ponies.

Stan is survived by his mother, Arlene Richmond of Spofford. He leaves his siblings; Hyla Richmond Smith of Keene, Barbara A. Doyle and her husband Peter of Spofford and Russell A. Richmond and his significant other Margaret Jenna of Chesterfield.

Nieces; Leslie A. Smith and her husband David of Swanzey and Melissa Richmond and her husband Ray of Paris, ME. Nephews; William Kissell and his wife Denise, Johnathan and Richard Kissell and his wife Jennifer. Great Nephews Xavier, Nehemiah, Jeffrey, Landon, Ayden and Kullen. Great nieces, Cailyn and Riley in addition to other cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. one of them being Roger Flood of Middleboro, Ma. Stan is pre-deceased by his father, Stanley A. Richmond and best friend, Kevin Lougee who passed on May 15, 2014.

A gathering to celebrate Stanley’s life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 1 to 3pm. at the family home: 122 Holman Rd. Spofford, NH. 03462. Military honors will be given at 2pm.
