Sarah M. (Farwell) Sundstrom, 66, of Dublin and formerly of Marlborough died on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene. She passed peacefully after a period of declining health with her family by her side.
Sarah was born the daughter of the late Eleanor (Erikson) and James Farwell on June 28, 1950 in Keene. She was educated locally and graduated from Marlborough High School class of 1968.
On October 18, 1968 she exchanged vows with Norman E. Sundstrom Jr. in a simple service in Keene. They have been married for almost forty-eight years.
Sarah was the office manager and broker for the Insurance Planning Group (IPG) in Keene for twenty-three years before retiring in June of 2015.
She enjoyed the beach, going for walks, travel, wine tasting, and cultivating her flower and vegetable gardens. She was also a lover of animals, especially her cats who will dearly miss her.
Mrs. Sundstom is survived by her husband, Norman E. Sundstrom of Dublin. Her son, Garret I. Sundstrom and his partner August F. Cruz of Dublin. Her siblings; John Farwell and his wife Joanne of Swanzey, Heidi Farwell of Marlborough and Rita Farwell of Marlborough. In addition, she leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with Sarah’s wishes there are no calling hours. A gathering to celebrate the life of Sarah M. Sundstrom will be held on August 21, 2016 from 12-5pm in Acworth, NH.
