Robert “Bob” P. Kratzer, 69, a long-time resident of Troy died unexpectedly at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene. He passed peacefully after a brief period of declining health.
Robert was born the son of the late Violet (Moritz) and Fred Kratzer on October 4, 1948 in Wrangell, Alaska where he graduated from high school, class of 1967.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of many years , Betty Kratzer , who sadly passed away on March 22, 2017.
He had many jobs over the years. Most recently he had been working for New England Traffic Control as a flagger since 2014.
Bob enjoyed playing cards, especially poker. When time permitted he liked to fish and go camping with family. He also liked watching NASCAR and loved his dog, Oliver and cat, Lily.
Mr. Kratzer is survived by his sons; Robert P. Kratzer Jr. and his wife Sheila of Spokane, WA. Timothy E. Kratzer of Burlington, WA. A step-daughter, Tracy Bennett of Nashua, NH. His sister Mary J. Schauer of Mt. Vernon, WA. Grandchildren; Austin and Kymberly Kratzer of Spokane, WA. Lesley and Damon Kratzer of Burlington, WA. Sherri Bennett of Nashua, NH. A niece, Dawn Therrien of Winchester, NH. Bob is pre-deceased by his step-son, Jeffrey Fisher, sister, Joyce Therrien and his granddaughter Stephanie Kratzer.
