Robert (Bob) E. Stote Sr.
Robert (Bob) E. Stote Sr. 78 of Swanzey and formerly of Peterborough and Milford died peacefully on June 6, 2011 at Keene Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical after a brief period of failing health.
He was born the son of Helen M. (Lindsay) and Reginald H. Stote on August 30, 1932 in Lawrence, MA.
Mr. Stote was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army at the rank of 2nd. Lt. During the Korea Era.
On October 27 1962 he took his vows to Joyce E. Streeter in the Federated Church in Bernardston, MA. They have been happily married for 48 years.
Bob worked for 51 years as a financial advisor in NH. VT. MA. and N.Y..
He was a member of many Rotary Clubs and Chamber of Commerce in Keene, Peterborough, Milford and Bedford. He held the role of past president and treasurer. He was also an active member of the Hope Chapel of Keene.
Mr. Stote is survived by his wife Joyce E. Stote of Swanzey. His two children: Robert Stote II and his wife Marsha of Pepperel, MA. Martha Mabe and her husband Pastor Joseph E. Mabe of Swanzey. His Grandchildren; Timothy, Sara, Luke, Robert, Nathaniel and Emily. His only sister Muriel Heintz.
At Mr. Stote’s request there are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 11:00am. In the Hope Chapel, 667 Main St. Keene. All services are under the direction of Cheshire Family Funeral Home in Swanzey.
