Richard James Rick Imhof of Walpole died on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. He passed peacefully and unexpectedly after a period of declining health with his family and friends at hand.

Rick was born the son of Helene (Haiser) and James R. Imhof on March 15, 1953 in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Sweet Home Senior High School in Amherst, NY. Rick went on in his studies and graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and attended graduate school at the University of Georgia to study Developmental and Experimental Psychology.

While in graduate school he met Laurie Meissner who became his life partner. They have been partners for almost thirty-eight years.

Rick was a self employed businessman. He was the proprietor of Sirranon Web Services in Walpole. He used his creative abilities to design web sites and serviced computers for over fifteen years.

Rick enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved vintage sport cars and racing. He was a big fan and owner of Mini Coopers. He was a cofounder of the Monadnock Area Mini Association. Rick was an excellent cook. He enjoyed barbequing and preparing Indian cuisine. He also loved science fiction and the blues”.

Mr. Imhof is survived by his life partner, Laurie Meissner of Walpole. He also leaves his mother, Helene Imhof of Walpole and his only brother David S. Imhof of San Francisco, California in addition to cousins, extended family and friends.
