Richard Dick A. Trombley 92 a life long resident of Marlborough died on Sunday, April 27 2014 at Cheshire Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Keene. He passed peacefully after a period of declining health.

Richard was born the son of the late Alma (Paro) and William L. Trombley on October 10, 1921 in Keene. He was educated in Marlborough and left after the eighth grade as so many of his generation did to assist with the family.

Richard has been married to his loving wife Dorothy (Grignon) Trombley for seventy two years.

Dick worked as a skilled weaver for the Miniwawa Company in Marlborough. He retired in 1984 after thirty eight years of loyal service.

Richard was previously a member of Sacred Heart Church in Marlborough. He enjoyed his time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. Time was spent watching the Red Sox on television. He was a man who loved horse and harness racing. In his younger years Richard enjoyed square dancing with his wife. He was also a member of the Italian Club in Keene for many years. As life moved on Richard was perfectly happy sitting on his patio or going for long walks.

Mr. Trombley is survived by his wife Dorothy Dot Trombley of Marlborough. He also leaves his children; Richard Dick Trombley of Keene and Carol L. Marshall and her husband James of Concord. His grandchildren; Scott Marshall and his wife Linda of Salisbury and Thomas Marshall and his wife Catherine of Hopkinton. His only living sister is Dora Talbot. In addition to his great grandchildren; Colby, Peyton, MacKenzie, Brenden, Brianna, Jonathan and Jackie; he will be missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Richard is pre deceased by his siblings; Edward, David, Cleo, William, Margaret, Hazel, Rachel and Marie.

A period of calling will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 9:30 to 10am. With a Liturgy of the Word to be given at 10am. all in the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite St. Marlborough, NH. 03455. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However the family would prefer donations be made in memory of Richard A. Trombley to: Marlborough Harrisville Ambulance Service, C/O Town of Marlborough, P.O. Box 487 Marlborough, NH. 03445.
