Raymond LamarcheRaymond “Ray” Lamarche, 75, a resident of Troy and formerly of Swanzey and Lowell, MA., passed away peacefully while resting on Friday, January 6, 2024, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born a son to the late Mary (Forbes) and Andre’ Lamarche on June 11, 1948, in Lowell, MA. Ray was educated and graduated from Lowell High School in Lowell, MA. He continued his education at UMASS Lowell.

Raymond enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Vietnam war as a Corporal. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with Device, and Rifle Marksman Badge. Raymond was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal E-4 on August 11, 1975.

On February 10, 1979, Raymond exchanged wedding vows with the love of his life, Mary L. Perry. They had a simple service with family and friends in attendance.

Ray worked for Aubuchon Hardware Store in Keene as their sales clerk for 6 years until he retired in 2012. Prior, Ray worked for Prelco of Lowell, MA. as a sheet metal mechanic for 5 years. He also formerly worked for Carrier Furniture in Winchendon, MA. doing woodworking for 3 years.

Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved having intelligent conversations regarding history with his grandson because he was a big history buff. Raymond loved his faith in Jesus Christ, being a Christian, and reading the Bible. Raymond was an active member at the Christian Life Fellowship Church in Swanzey.

Raymond LamarcheMr. Lamarche is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary L. Lamarche of Troy, their six children, Raymond P. Lamarche and his wife, Cathy of New Ipswich, Neil L. Lamarche of Winchester, Andrew J. Lamarche of Athol, MA., Joseph M. Lamarche of Turners Falls, MA., Mary E. Lamarche of Winchester and her fiancé, Joseph Schweitzer, and Daniel J. Lamarche and his partner, Jessica Leclerc, of Athol, MA. He is also survived by his three siblings, Leo Lamarche and his wife, Nancy of Lowell, MA., Dianne Trottier, and her husband, Rich of Lowell, MA., and Donna Lamarche of Lowell, MA. Along with many grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Ray is predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert Lamarche, and two grandchildren, Justin Lamarche, and Abigail Fredette.

A Celebration of Life will be from 7 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Christian Life Fellowship Church, 211 Whitcomb Rd in Swanzey. A burial will take place at the Westport Village Cemetery later in the Spring of 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymonds name to the
