Peter C. Fitts April 30, 1940-July 16, 2014. Impeccably honest, always respected international banker and protector of credit standards; member of the Citibank and Fleet executive diaspora. Mischievous son of the late Howard P. and Katherine G. Fitts, of Wellesley, MA. Williams College, Class of 1962; MBA Babson. Brilliantly funny, irascible but irreplaceable husband and beloved Rock of Gibraltar for Colleen Kaftan, his wife of 22 years. Father and challenging role model for Jeff (Leslie), Catharine (Derik Keel), and Alan. Grandpa of Sara, Jessie, and Michael. Also survived by ex-wives Candida Fitts and Anne Strauss.
Lifelong lover of dogs and cats, beautiful spaces, intellectual challenges, unfamiliar cultures, and his haven in Williamstown, MA. Our deepest appreciation to the wonderful people at Genesis Keene Center, NH, for taking such good care of him and making his final months so very special. Rest in peace, PCF.
