Patricia “Trish” F. (Farnum) Mallard

Patricia “Trish” F. (Farnum) Mallard, 76, of Keene and formerly of Worcester, Massachusetts, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She passed peacefully in her sleep, at Applewood Care Center in Winchester, after a period of declining health.

Patricia was born the daughter of the late Patricia (Cutting) and Albert Farnum, on August 11, 1939 in Worcester, MA She was educated in Worcester and graduated from Worcester High School class of 1957. Trish went on in her studies and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Elmira College in New York, in 1961.

Trish was the Director of Human Resources at the Worcester Art Museum for 20 years and loved working there.

She enjoyed fine things in life. Time was spent going to art shows and galleries. She was a collector of fine art and an avid traveler when time permitted. One of her most memorable adventures was a millennium trip to Antarctica.

Ms. Mallard is survived by her close friends, Sue Doyle of Keene and Erica and Yasmeen Calder of Falmouth, ME. Also, her cousin Martha Makin and her husband Malcome of Westerly, RI.

In keeping with Trish’s wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 2pm, in the funeral chapel at Cheshire Family Funeral at 44 Maple Ave in Keene. Burial will be private and take place in the family lot a Mount Vernon Cemetery in West Boylston, MA. At Trish’s request, donations may be made, in her memory, to Stonewall Farm, at 242 Chesterfield Rd., Keene, NH 03431.
