Morris Moe Mossy W. Wilber Sr. 78 a life long resident of Westport died on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Applewood Care Center in Winchester. He passed peacefully surrounded by family after a period of declining health.

Morris was born the son of the late Eva (Barrows) and Weston Wilber on March 25, 1936 in Westport. He was educated locally and attended Thayer High School in Winchester.

On December 31, 1955 he exchanged vows with Beverly J. Buffum at the First Congregational Church in Keene. The Wilbers have been married for fifty eight years.

Moe worked for Kingsburys of Keene for twenty nine years as a Jig Borer. He retired in 1990 to enjoy the golden years with his family. Moe liked to stay active so he took a part time job with Tire Warehouse for a time.

Moe was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, taking hikes and road trips with the family. He was also always up for a good game of horse shoes or to go bowling.

Mr. Wilber is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Wilber of Westport. His five children and their spouses; Morris S. Wilber Jr. and his wife Diane of Keene, Keith A. Wilber and his wife Debra of Peterborough, David M. Wilber and his wife Donna of Swanzey, Kenneth W. Wilber and his wife Christine of Marlborough and Vincent A. Wilber and his wife Karen of Marlborough. He also leaves his sister, Beverly Carpenter of Swanzey. Grandchildren; Steven Wilber, Brandon Wilber, Matthew Wilber, Cassandra Wilber, Craig Tacy, Latham Wilber, Meagan Wilber and Dalton Wilber, In addition he leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Moe is pre deceased by his siblings; Warner Wilber, Herbert Wilber, Edwin Wilber, Dorothy Britton, Izabelle Durham, June Smith. Grandsons Joshua Wilber passed in 2009 and Mark Smith passed in 1999.

A calling hour will be held in the church on Saturday, March 5, 2014 from 12 to 1pm. at: Westport Village Church, Westport Village Rd. Westport, NH. 03446. With a celebration of life service to follow at 1pm. Burial will be private in the family lot at Westport Village Cemetery when the cemetery opens. Flowers will gladly be accepted.
