Mildred B. “Millie, The Queen” (Babcock) Wolfe, 79, a long-time resident of Keene and formerly of Pittsburg died on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She passed peacefully in the comfort of his home while sleeping.

Mildred was born the daughter of the late Winifred (Nicholson) and Robert Babcock on November 5, 1939 in Manchester. She was educated locally ang graduated from Keene High School class of 1957. Education was important to Millie, she continued on and earned a Bachelor Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, PA. She then went on to earn her Masters of Science for the University of Pittsburg.
The Queen as she was called at work was employed at Remax Town and Country in Keene for twenty-eight years. She was the office manager and the go to person in the office. The Queen was a brilliant and proficient manager with great business and real estate knowledge. Everyone loved the Queen.

She was a go getter, always working on projects to enhance her community. She sat on various boards. She was the former Board of Directors Chair Person for Monadnock Family Services, Habitat for Humanity, Monadnock United Way. Her time in the community was working as a Monadnock Regional Board Member for the Family Search Committee, Stonewall Farm, Monadnock Conservancy and the old Homestead Garden Club. In her free time, she enjoyed; reading, working in her flower gardens, travel and various sports.

Ms. Wolfe is survived by her many cousins including Linda and Chris Burke of Pennsylvania; Diane and Ed Sullivan, Carol and Joe Frey, Steve Babcock, and Elaine O’Connor all of Massachusetts; Sally Nicholson, John MacKinnon, and Winnie and John McKnight all of Prince Edward Island, and Carol Anne Gillis of Littleton, NH. Her closest circle of friends includes Joshua and Jessica Benner, Tammy Carlson, Bert Inman and Lorie Rogers, and Mary Ann Kristiansen. In addition, she is survived by extended family and friends. Millie is predeceased by her sister, Harriet A. Babcock who passed on March 28, 2013.

In keeping with Millie’s wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2pm. in the funeral chapel with burial to follow in the family lot at the Bradford St. Cemetery, Bradford St. Keene, NH. 03431. Flowers will gladly be accepted. However, her extended family would prefer donations be made in memory of Mildred B.
