Michael “Mike” T. DeFranzo, 54, of Troy and formerly of Hinsdale died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at home. He passed peacefully while sleeping.
Michael was born the son of the late Barbara (MacOquodale) and Charles DeFranzo on December 3, 1962 in Malden, Massachusetts. He was educated in Lynn and attended Classical High School.
After high school Mike enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served his enlistement and was honorably discharged.
He worked at the Keene Paper Mill as a machine operator before retiring in 1997.
Mike was a very private person. He enjoyed old rock and roll music. Time was spent admiring the look of Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a jokester always making people laugh. Mostly Mike was a family man and father. He loved to cook and spend time with his family.
Mr. DeFranzo is survived by his two children; Courtney B. Johnson and her husband Nate of Hinsdale and Anthony R.M. DeFranzo of Marlboro. His siblings, Donna Connors and her husband Chuck of Salem, MA. And Chuck DeFranzo of Lynn, MA. Three grandchildren; Marleigh, Piper and Chloe Johnson all of Hinsdale.
